A Dupe

I haven’t used the Santal soap, but I hear it’s glorious…and expensive. SO Target now has a dupe. Of course it was sold out at the Chaska Target when I looked today, but keep an eye out for this lovely soap at a much cheaper price!

Rugs

Real talk…rugs make a room…even more real talk…my dog loves peeing on mine. The WORST (she’s 15, so it isn’t on purpose:()! Anyway, I’ve purchased expensive rugs, and I’ve purchased cheap rugs, so I have some suggestions. The expensive ones I’ve loved are from Lulu and Georgia. The cheaper ones I’ve loved are from Loloi Rugs. Two of my favorite follows on Instagram (Amber Lewis & Chris Loves Julia) have lines with them, and most come at a much cheaper price point.
If you want local, I highly suggest @curiorugs. Our entrance rug is from there. That way you know you have a one-of-a-kind.

Friends

I have various groups of friends, and luckily, they’re the kind of friends you can go months without speaking to, then pick right back up where you left off. This has worked in the past, but maybe it’s because I’m getting older, I know I need to reach out more. I just do. I find most of them are going through something whether it’s big or small, and I want to be there for them. I’ve been making more of an effort to call or text them, and it’s always such a mood lifter. Even if they’re having a hard time, and we chat about that, we also always pull up those hilarious stories from our past that make us laugh until we cry. I facetimed some of my college buddies this weekend because I knew they were all together, and I’m so happy I did. This is just a little reminder that a quick text to a friend just checking in is easy and probably greatly appreciated. BUT I wanna challenge you to actually call someone this week:)

Let’s See Each Other IRL

With events actually happening again, I have 3 we can meet at if you’re in town. Wednesday I’ll be at the State Fair 1-6p. 9/10 I’ll be at my very first art fair in St. Louis Park 10a-5p. Also, I have a book club, and we’ll be meeting in-person in September. I’ll post the sign up link Thursday in the Facebook group!
